The 10 things I've learned while becoming my highest self
Growing up, evolving, as a non privileged member of the masses, as a pioneer first born and first generation PhD woman without mentors, as a first generation cycle breaker, as a first generation immigrant, is a strange thing. You don't know what's coming up until you experience it. You don't have anyone to ask help or advice to. You don't know how you will feel, what you will become, after making your next step, while walking the path of life towards the adult version of yourself, expanding in time like a tree. And I feel this latest one applies to everyone really, regardless of their upbringing. We can't see the seed that we are until we are tested by life, and our respose shows what kind of tree we are. Are we tares or a we wheat? Are we courageous or are we cowards? Are we selfish or are we generous? Are we empathetic or are we sadistic? What are we? Who are we? What shape are we supposed to take while growing up? What's our survival niche?
As every tree, based on the resources we are given, we can become majestic and huge, or we can become bonsais, dry out, or become crooked - bending on a side longing for water.
Some of us however, thrive in difficult circumstances like desert plants. But the beauty and the scary part of life is that we don't know and we (intentionally) don't get educated on what kind of plant we are, what we need, how to thrive, how to find our niche. That's something we learn along the way, while learning to accept ourselves for how we are instead of comparing ourselves with reference models created to slow us down, and from upholding social norms created to hinder us from reaching the top.
I went from a small village in the south of Italy to Rome to the US. I went from being a bullied bookworm in school to becoming a wealth of knowledge and a spiritual guide for many, to becoming a whistleblower and a pro se litigant against expert law firms in all US courts, facing corrupt and fraudulent judges, fraudulent individuals and corporations.
Saying "I've learned a lot" doesn't give an idea of what I actually experienced. I went through multiple metamorphosis, I had to shed away layers of old skin that prevented me from expanding, I had to die many times for me to reach this level, overcome the challenges, and become the person I am today.
So, I want to share with you some of the lessons I've learned, and I'm sure you'll find them useful, and you'll fully understand them, when you're ready for them.
I'll try to go in chronological order as much as I can.
